Unlike other destinations with overwater bungalows, Bora Bora offers visitors a plethora of water and land activities thanks to its rugged terrain and famous mountain volcano, Mount Otemanu. Start the day with a Polynesian breakfast delivered by an outrigger canoe, swim with the stingrays on a tour of the lagoon, ride ATVs around the base of Mount Otemanu, and watch the sunset over dinner at the famous Bora Bora Yacht club.

BEST TIME TO VISIT
Bora Bora is warm year-round with May thru October being high season. December thru March are considered the rainy months. The best months to visit are April and November when crowds are low, rain is minimal, and the sun is shining!

GETTING AROUND
Most of the resorts in Bora Bora offer a shuttle boat (some complimentary and some charge a fee) that runs to and from the main island multiple times a day. Private boat transfers are also available for travelers transferring to and from the airport. When booking activities, pickup and drop off at the property is often included.

The currency in Bora Bora is the French Pacific Franc. US dollars may be used for direct payments at hotels, but most local restaurants and shops will only accept the local currency. Credit cards are widely accepted. The official language of Bora Bora is French, but English is spoken widely in the areas of tourism.

Due to the terrain in Costa Rica, most roads are narrow and windy making a 30-mile journey take over an hour and a half. Renting car can be expensive and stressful! Private transfers are a better option ensuring a relaxing journey with views of the magical landscape.

Spring and Fall are the perfect time to tour the country! The temperature is warm, but not uncomfortable, the crowds are less (outside of holy holidays) and the rates tend to be a bit cheaper. Temperatures in the Winter months can be cold with the Northern part of the country seeing snow on occasion, but the Winter offers visitors the unique experience of Christmas in the Holy Land.

The cities in Israel are easily walkable. Wandering the streets of Jerusalem or Nazareth adds to the experience as you stumble upon hidden cafes serving coffee, tea, and a favorite dessert, kanafeh. Traveling between cities will require transportation by car.
